Well folks, it's that time of year again where we supposed to slow down a little and take time to unwind. However, that seems quite the contrary. This is usually the time of year where people are stressed beyond the norm as we try to hustle up that extra cash for gifts that somebody somewhere (big businesses) said we HAVE to buy for people or else feel shame.

Why and how did it come to this? Has it been this way all the time and I just realized it, or are things really getting ridiculous? Either way, this year is a time for us to reflect on those we've lost, and grow renewed appreciation for the ones who are still around. The years just seem to blow by the older we get and we begin to realize that the times we thought were bad in the past, would turn out to be some of the best times we were ever gonna have.

This year has still not brought us Free TV but it did bring us alot of political upheaval as people open their eyes to just what is happening around them. Has business as usual changed so dramatically, or has modern technology simply brought everyone's "business" right to our doorstep? Whatever the case, we now have massive protests organized within hours rather than days and people's emotional rants broadcast LIVE via twitter instantaneously before we even get a chance to reconsider our statements. Society is reaching a tipping point and there are no rails to hold onto. All we can do is hope we land on something, or someone to cushion the fall.

2012 promises to be another wild ride as out planet drifts into the center of the Milky Way and many wonder if ancient prophecies regarding our era will come true. Perhaps we will be a part of history that has been talked about for thousands of years, or perhaps the sun will continue to rise and it will be - just another day. Whatever happens, keep your head up and continue to go that small extra step that makes a difference in someone's life. You never know what your purpose is here and it could be that small seemingly insignificant gesture that makes a huge difference to someone whom you never thought you've made a lasting impression on, or someone who you came across briefly but managed to change their perception of the moment that they will remember and pass on.

Most of all, stay true to yourselves and don't let anyone take the wind out of your sails!

    Happy Holidays from FTAPeople

Ladies & Gentlemen, let us honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice to ensure that our families, and future generations have a place to call home. To the brave Men and Women who have died so that we can take for granted the simple things in life. Many people overlook the true meaning of the day while their toes are curled on sandy beaches with the smell of grilled meat, and the sound of their favorite tunes filling the air. But not us, today, while most of us may be partaking in these types of activities, we will salute you. Even if it is only in our minds with a heartfelt acknowledgement as we take that moment to ponder what you must have been through for us to stand here today. Any Man or Woman can fight, but it takes the heart of a hero to be willing to die.

Let us not forget the POW's and MIA's who are also honored this day as well. Our hearts and prayers go out to their families on a day that is fun and barbecue's for some, and a day of mourning for others. May your hearts be filled with pride and your tears be shed with honor!

To our Hero's, "We Salute You!"

Well here we are, yet another year has passed and another is swift to follow. As we reflect on the events of these 12 months, let us pay homage to all of our friends from days gone by that are no longer able to join us here due to illnesses, death, and other circumstances beyond their control. We've lost a few members to cancer as well as accident's and our beloved Naughty Angel also hangs in the balance of life's delicate threads.

Many of us find very little to be thankful for during these particularly troubling times, and we eagerly await the fresh start of a new year in the hopes that something uplifting is waiting for us just around the bend. Things will get better, they always do! In the meantime, remind those around you just how much you love them, for they may not be around to ever hear you say it again. To our fellow comrades on the net, show them that you appreciate them if only for the simple fact that you have someone to disagree with.

As for the world of FTA, it's the same ol song and dance with IKS running the show and Chuck still breathing fire. Private servers seem to be the trend now as public servers have shown major vulnerabilities. Sonicview seems to have pulled the carrot from the mouth and left users to fend for themselves with private back roads while Viewsat is reported to be chugging right along on a main highway. No one is certain what forces are at work behind the scenes or whether or not they are in possession of the golden egg.. (we know someone is)

At any rate, on behalf of FTAPeople, we would like to sincerely Thank You for being here with us through the rough times. It's plain to see that the site has transformed it's content and subject matter to adapt to the current situation and we're glad you have all decided to stick with us till the sun comes back over the hill.

That being said, enjoy the coming days and cherish the memories yet to be born that you will hold with you for a lifetime. May you all be Blessed!

    Happy Holidays!
